ABOUT

Welcome to Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Florida Inc., Citrus and Hernando Counties (CEFCH).

CEFCH is a chapter of the world’s largest children’s ministry, “Child Evangelism Fellowship®”, a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in the local church for Christian living.

With more than 3,000 workers in nearly every country around the world, CEF had personal, individual ministry with more than 20 million children last year. To date, more than 200,000,000 children have been ministered to.

Over the past 80 years God has given CEF a number of unique ministries which have proven to be effective tools in our effort to evangelize and disciple children.

CEF has many different ministries for children, but the primary ones are the Good News Club  and the 5-Day Club.

In the United States, an estimated 50-million young people are in public school each day. Many of these boys and girls are unchurched, come from broken homes, and have never heard a clear Gospel message. They represent one of the largest mission fields in the world today. Together, with your help, we can reach out to each boy and girl with the hope of Jesus Christ.

Locally, the Good News Club® has been used effectively to reach 1000’s of children here in Citrus and Hernando Counties. Trained teachers meet with groups of children in elementary schools with their parent’s permission. Between both counties there are 24 elementary schools. We are thankful to God to currently have clubs in 16 of these schools!

CEF is a faith-supported ministry. Support comes through local churches, organizations and individual believers who are led by God to faithfully pray, give financially or volunteer their time.

MEET OUR LOCAL COORDINATOR

Chuck Madden

At the unlikely age of 20 is when I came into relationship with Jesus Christ. Shortly after I felt the burden to enter full time ministry, so in 2007 I married my wife, Bekah, and we moved to Lakeland, FL to attend Southeastern University. Since then I have become Ordained with the Assemblies of God and have my Bachelors in Theology, which I received through a combination of credits through Southeastern University and Life Christian University. I am also a proud dad of 3 amazing kids; Jayden, Micah, and Elianna!

My wife and I moved to Homosassa in 2010 and began attending Freedom for Life Family Church (where I later also became a staff member). During this time our Pastor, Doug DeRespiris, met Pastor Jess Burton and learned about Good News Clubs that were taking place in Marion County. He knew instantly God was calling him to bring this ministry to Citrus County and through much prayer, training, and help from others he began the first club in 2012.

During this time, I was helping teach in the clubs, but little did I know that God was preparing me to become the Director of the chapter. When the opportunity arose and I discussed it with my wife, the answer was a resounding, “Yes!” I have always been perplexed that through all my school years I was never once invited to church or told about Jesus, so I count it a privilege and an honor that God would now put me in a position to be able to bring His message of Salvation to hundreds of school children each school year! We serve a great God, and I am thankful to be able to serve Him, serve you, and serve our children as the CEFCH Local Director.
